William V. Gowen, 66, died Tuesday morning May 12 at his home in Saranac after
an illness of several months with heart trouble.  Mr. Gowen was born near
Michigan City, February 1871.  From there he moved to Allegan where he lived
until seventeen years ago, when he moved to Saranac.

Surviving him are two brothers, Warren Gowen and Milton Gowen, of Allegan; one
sister, Mrs. Flora Smith, of Allegan; one son, Bert Gowen, who lives at home;
two daughters, Mrs. Alice Isenhart and Mrs. Della Wanzer, of Battle Creek; and
six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon May 13, at 2 o’clock from the
Densmore funeral chapel in Saranac.  Rev. Frank Loomis will officiate and
interment will be at Saranac cemetery.
