The Portland Observer, Thursday, April 3, 1952

Reuben T. Graft, 84, passed away last Thursday at his home on route 3, 
Portland.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Neller Funeral Home, 
Rev. Hollis Tiffany officiating.  Burial was in Danby cemetery.  Mr. Graft was 
born in Ohio on December 3, 1867 and had lived on the farm here for about 82 
years.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Graft.

Surviving is the wife, the former Harriet Elvira Williams, of Sebewa and 
Danby.  The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last June 5th.  
Other survivors are: daughters, Mrs. Estella McCrumb, Portland, Mrs. Evelyn 
Green, of Mulliken; sons, Glenn of Portland, Earl, of Saginaw, Harold, of 
Portland and Clare, of Connecticut.  There are 20 grandchildren and 17 great 
grandchildren.

Bearers were Gordon Green, Royal Green, Harold Green, Jack Green, Arden 
McCrumb and Lynwood Graft.  Honorary bearers were Asil Lyon, Cecil Lyon, 
Richard Graft and Gordon Graft.
