Born January 11, 1949-son of Harold "Buster" & Grace Graft. Gary graduated from Portland High School in 1967, where he enjoyed sports. Retired from TRW after 36 years of service. Gary passion for fishing led him to start "Gary's Custom Rods", so he would have the perfect rod for on the Betsie River & his trips to Alaska. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard (Carol) Graft and his father- in-law, Stanley Gross; in-laws, Marian (Jack) John & George Sterner. Survived by wife, Susanne, children Kristen (Paul) Petersen and Gary (Michelle) graft, grandchildren, Leanna (Joe) Davis, Shane (Kylie) Petersen, Alexis (Austin) Ray, Jordan Petersen, Alex, Andrea and Jake Graft, great-grandchildren Paisley Jo Marie and Hunter Davis; Brantley, Rhett and Sutton Marie Petersen; brother, Gordon (Charlene) Graft, sisters, Cheryl Myers and Henrietta Ttrisch; Susanne's family,Stanley(deceased)& Jane Gross;Sheila Cook, Donalyn (Terry) Lawless & Doug (Rae) Gross; Marion (Jack) Johns & George Sternert. many nieces & nephews. A Memorial Celebration will be held on the Betsie River according to Gary's wishes. Susanne would like to extend ThankYous to the Robinwood Landing & to Marie Linn & staff for their excellent care of Gary. Special thanks to Ruby from Hospice of Lansing.
