Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. Dec. 9, 1995

CHARLOTTE- Stuart H. Graham, 94, of Charlotte and formerly of Ionia died 
Friday, Dec. 8, 1995 after a short illness at Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital in 
Charlotte.

He was born in Ionia Jan. 11, 1901, the son of Oel David and Maude (Devendorf) 
Graham. He was a graduate of Ionia High School. He was a District manager for 
Consumers Power in Charlotte before retiring in 1966 after 43 years of service. 
He married Leta Louise Shields on Oct. 16, 1920.

He is survived by daughter Maudie Wilcox, of Sebring, Fla., granddaughters; 
Debbie Perkins, of Holland and Kay Marshall of Vicksburg; and great-
grandchildren: Leta Groters and Joshua Perkins, both of Holland and Peter 
Pryson, of Kalamazoo. 

He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 18, 1994 and grandson David 
Marshall in 1986.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec 11, 1995 at 10 a.m. at the First 
Congregational Church UCC in Charlotte, with Rev. Dr. Peter Brenner 
officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte and 
visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Burkhead Green Funeral 
Home in Charlotte.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton County Courthouse Restoration 
Project or the First Congregational Church.
