He was united in marriage with Agnes E. Dean July 21, 1867. To this union were born two children, one of whom survives, Mrs. Ruby Andrews of Lansing. He was a veteran of the civil war and in the battle of Gettysburg received a wound from which he never recovered. He was one of the body guards at the national capital when Lincoln’s body lay in state. The funeral was held Wednesday at Matherton, his comrades of the G.A.R. officiating as pallbearers. A brother, Will Graham, and a sister, Mrs. Susan Chapman, came from New York to attend the services.
