HERBERT GRAHAM DIES IN INDIANA Mrs. Herbert E. Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zeno W. Carter, passed away June 5 at Gary, Ind.. She died following a long illness at the age 96 years. Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa. In early life she was a teacher and first taught the local Carr School, northeast of town, in 1891. She then returned to join the first class to graduate from Lake Odessa High School in 1893. After that she taught in other local schools and in High School and also in Augusta. She joined the Sebewa Baptist Church early in life and was an active member She was married to Herbert E. Graham in September, 1911, by Rev. A. T. Luther, father of Mrs. B. F. Carter. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Grace Graham Staab of Gary, Ind., and one brother Benjamin F. Carter. and several nieces and nephews. Rev. Gordon Butcher of Gary, Ind., officiated at the graveside service Tuesday. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs B. F. Carter and daughters, Mrs. Martin Sacha of East Lansing and Mrs. R. H. Drullinger of Haslett Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wheeler and daughter, Mrs. Otto of Middleville, Mr. Lois Myers of Vassar, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Carter, Mrs. Harold Walkington and Lee Sheldon of Woodland.
