The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, May 29, 1931

Otto Grams, 316 East Lincoln avenue, died in the University of Michigan 
hospital Friday morning, where he was taken some time ago for treatment, 
having been sick for several months.  Funeral services will be conducted 
Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, and at 2 o’clock at the Lutheran church 
by Rev. B. H. Succop.  Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.

Mr. Grams was born in Germany January 27, 1877.  He came with his parents to 
American when he was a small child.  They located near Lake Odessa, coming to 
Ionia when Otto was a youth, and this had been his home since.  Recent years 
he was employed at the Hayes Body corporation when the plant was in 
operation.  He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving are the widow; a son, LaVerne, of Lansing; daughters, Mrs. Esther 
Lower, of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Dora C. Stout, living south of Ionia, and 
Martha, Clara, Edna and Edmund, at home; brothers, Emil, of Ludington, and 
Albert, of Flint; sisters, Mrs. Ed. Haney, of Ionia, and Mrs. E. Lesky, of 
Flint.

Subsequent Publication:  Tuesday, June 2, 1931

Rev. B. H. Succop conducted the funeral services for Otto Grams Monday 
afternoon, 1:30, at the home, 316 East Lincoln avenue, and 2 o’clock at the 
Lutheran church.  Mr. Grams died Saturday in the University of Michigan 
hospital after a long illness.

Relatives, Robert Yahnke, Albert Grams, Elmer Grams, Robert Grams, Earnest 
Leiske, and Clarence Yahnke, served as bearers.  The interment was in the 
Highland Park cemetery.
