Grams, 17-year old son of Mrs. Martha Grams, died at the residence 410 Johnson street, Thursday afternoon, November 21, at 2:15 o’clock following an illness which had confined him to his bed for the past nine weeks. He first became ill last January while living at Three Rivers, and at the time he was first taken ill he was a student in the tenth grade of the Ionia High school. He was a member of the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church, and a member of the Walther league of this church. His father, Otto Grams, died May 9, 1931. Surviving him are his mother, one brother, LaVerne, of Lansing, and five sisters, Clara, of Lansing; Esther, Dorothy, Martha and Edna, of Ionia. A private prayer service at the home Sunday afternoon at 1:00 will precede the funeral service at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church at 1:30, with Rev. R.A. Rook officiating. Burial will be at the family lot at the Highland Park cemetery.
