Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 Dec 1983

Alice M. Grant, 72, of 3500 Simken, Apt. 14, Lansing, a former Ann Arbor and 
Portland resident, died Dec. 15 at a Lansing hospital.

She was born Dec. 26, 1910, in Portland, the daughter of James and Ida Glazier 
Guilford.  She was a retired telephone operator.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Roberts of Lansing; nine grandchildren; 17 
great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Honsowitz of Portland; and a 
sister in law, Mrs. Evelyn Guilford of Pewamo; nieces, nephews and cousins.  
One daughter, Florence Miller, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Neller Funeral Home, the 
Rev. Dow Chamberlain of Portland United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial 
will be in Danby Cemetery.
