Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Oct 1944

William E. Grant, 64, who had spent most of his life in Berlin township, died
Friday evening at 8:30 o’clock in Lake Odessa, at the home of his son, Allyn
Grant, where he had been taken several weeks ago. 

Mr. Grant was born April 6, 1880, in London, Ontario.  He is survived by his
wife Maggie, two sons, Allyn Grant of Lake Odessa, and Lewis Grant, who lives at
the residence in Berlin; four grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Morris funeral home
in Saranac.  The Rev. E.H. Humphrey will officiate and burial will be in Saranac
cemetery.  The body will repose at the Allyn Grant home in Lake Odessa until
noon Monday.
