The Carson City Gazette, Thursday, January 29, 1953


Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 from St. John the Baptist 
church, Hubbardston, for Ada Grant, 78, lifelong resident of that vicinity.  
She passed away Sunday at the Taylor Convalescent Home in Ionia following a 
long period of ill health.  She suffered a paralytic stroke in 1950 and another 
in 1951.

Mrs. Grant, who was a practical nurse, was born in North Plains township, Ionia 
county, October 15, 1874, and had lived in and near Hubbardston all her life.

Fr. E. R. Hox, pastor of the church, officiated at the rites which were in 
charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Carson City.  Interment was made in St. 
John the Baptist cemetery.  

One brother, Richard Jordan, of Owosso survives.
