It is expected the body will arrive at Myers funeral home in Ionia sometime late Friday evening. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. ------------ Funeral services for Edward Grant, 30, who died Tuesday morning in Tucson, Ariz., will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Myers funeral home. The body will arrive Friday evening and the family will be at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock. Interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Grant was born in Ionia the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Francis of Portland. He graduated from Ionia high school, received his B.A. degree from Central Michigan College of Education at Mt. Pleasant and his M.M. degree from the University of Michigan. He was married to the former Jan Hicks in 1947 and taught music in schools in Lyons, Howard City, Reed City and moved to Tucson in August 1955 where he also talked band. For many years he had been an orchestra leader and was known professionally as Professor Eddy Grant. Surviving are his wife, Jan, two sons, Steven and Kim, and one daughter, Lin.
