October 17, 1933 MRS. MAGGIE GRANT DIES AT AGE OF 81 A Resident of Woodbury Many Years. Leaves Many Friends and Relatives. Maggie Malory, daughter of Mr and Mrs Dow Mallory, was born in Noble county, Indiana, November 5, 1852 and departed this life October 5, 1933, at her home in Woodbury, aged 80 years and 11 months. She was united in marriage to John Grand in Woodland, 1872, who preceded her in death ten years ago. To this union were born four children, Mrs Bird Schelter who departed this life about four months ago,Mrs Jacob Schelter, Ernest Grant, all of Woodbury, and a son Freddie who died in infancy. In her earlier life she and her family attended the Kilpatrick United Brethren church and in her recent illness she gave expression of her faith n God and fearlessness in meeting death which she realized was near. She leaves to mourn their loss, the daughter Mrs.Jacob Schelter, one son Ernest Grant, three sisters Mrs Emma Kilpatrick of Levering,Mich., Mrs.Rose Connett and Mrs Delphane Laird of Battle Creek, and one brother, George Mallory of Levering, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Interment was made in Woodland cemetery with six of her grandsons bearing her to her last resting place.
