She was born August 12, 1870, the daughter of Hiram and Julianna Daskam. Mrs. Grant was graduated from Muir high school, and becoming a teacher, taught school until her marriage October 16, 1894, to Dr. W. G. Grant of Lyons. He died in 1924. Mrs. Grant was an active member of Lyons Methodist church, teaching church school and serving in women’s work. She was a member of WSCS and a former member of the official board; life member of WRC; life member and last charter member of the Order of Eastern Star of Lyons, and a member of WCTU. She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. William Weisgerber of Orange township, and Mrs. Gladys Retallic of Amasa; two great nieces, one great nephew, three great nieces, and two great nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
