Carl G. Graul Passes Away

Carl G. Graul 86 route one, Portland, passed away Sun. at the Ionia County
Memorial hospital where he was a patient since October 27 but had been ill since
May 1960.  A native of Saxony, Germany, he was a retired farmer and had also
lived in St. Paul, Minn. for 31 years.  He married Matie Possehn at the Ionia
St. Johns Lutheran church March 17, 1903.

Mr. Graul is survived by his wife; two daughters Mrs. Keith Guy of rural
Portland and Mrs. Chester Kammerer of Hugo, Minn; two sons, Arthur of Lake
Odessa and Harry at home; 8 grand children and 4 great grand children.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, at 2 at the St. Johns Lutheran church,
where he was a member and burial in Balcom cemetery.  Rev. Marvil Huel__
officiated.
