Excerpts from Obituary:
GAYLORD GRAY of Grand Rapids
Died Sunday January 27, 2019
Born to Garold and Esther Gray (nee Lyons) in Ionia, MI.
Graduated from Ionia High School in 1956.
Enlisted in the Marine Corps reserve.  
Drove deliveries for the Coca Cola Bottling Company before moving to Grand 
Rapids and joining the Grand Rapids Fire Department in 1956.
Retired from Fire department as a Captain after 36 years of service.Captained 
his own charter fishing business out of Grand Haven & Muskegon in 80' & 90's.
Survived by his daughter Kris, 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters & girl-friend 
Roberta Theiss, with whom he says he shared the best years of his life.
Roberta was his vigilant caregiver as he succumbed to dementia.
A memorial open house will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 12-4 PM at the 
Grand Rapids Firefighter's Hall, 1932 Fuller St. NE, Grand Rapids.
