For the past six months his mind had been impaired and it is thought that he suffered a slight stroke of paralysis a few weeks ago. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at his late residence, Rev. Fannie Benedict officiating. Mrs. L.M. Berry and Mr. Fred Cornell sang, and the remains were taken to the Otisco cemetery for burial. Daniel B. Green was born in Pittstown, Rensellaer Co., N.Y., June 15, 1831. Died on the morning of July 26, 1912, at 2:30 o’clock, aged eight-one, one month and eleven days. He came to Michigan with his parents in September, 1852 and settled in Otisco township, now known as the City of Belding, and took the farm up from the government where he lived at the time of his death. He was married to Harriet F. Luce in September 1856. Three children were born of this union, Sellick W., James H. and Orley B. Sellick W. passed away May 12, 1862. Harriet F., his wife, passed away June 24, 1884. He leaves to mourn his loss one brother, two sons, four grandchildren, one great grandson.
