Allen B. Green, 80, of Ionia, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003 in Ionia.  
He was a veteran of the Marines serving in Iwojima during WWII.  He worked for 
Drop Forge in Lansing until retiring in 1980.  He was a member of the Sheridan 
V.F.W. Post.  He loved hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his 
family.

He is survived by his wife Doris (Zanders) Green of Ionia; daughters, Tammy 
(Guy) Wernette of Sheridan, Cindy (Bill) Stump of Ionia; granddaughters, 
Ralinda Hilliker and special friend Don Cook of Greenville, Jennifer Stump and 
special friend Pat Lafferty of Ionia; great-grandchildren, Anthony Kruszkowski 
and Alexandra Hilliker; several nieces and nephews and especially Forrest 
Shattuck, Jr.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four 
sisters.

Funeral services for Mr. Green will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home 
in Ionia with Pastor Jim Wilcox officiating.  Visitation is 7 p.m. to 8:30 
p.m. Thursday and noon until the time of services Friday.  Anyone wishing may 
make memorial contributions to the Sheridan V.F.W Post.
