Ionia Sentinel Standard
Floid A. Green, 57, died at his Orange township home on US-16 Friday noon, 
March 16, after a lengthy illness.  He was born September 15, 1893 at the home 
where he died.  He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Green, pioneer Orange 
township residents.  He spent his entire life in Orange and attended Steele 
school and farmed.  On January 8, 1913, he was married to Mary G. Jeffery at 
the LeValley church by the Rev. North.  For the past few years he had been 
treasurer of Steele School.  

Surviving are his wife, Mary; eight children, Mrs. Gordon Ritter of 
Clarksville, Betty G., Mary Alice and Ethel at home, Robert of Chicago, Leo of 
Lansing, Earl and Paul of Portland, 14 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Arthur 
Goodenough of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be held at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home Tuesday at 2 
p.m.  The Rev. Hollis Tiffany of Portland will officiate.  Interment will be 
in the family lot of Balcom Cemetery.
