The Portland Observer, Thursday, January 17, 1935

Albert Green, 69 years of age, died at his home in Orange township on US-16 
west of the Coleman school Monday morning following an illness of two weeks 
brought on by a severe attack of hiccoughs.  Funeral services were held 
Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational church, in charge of Rev. J. H. 
Stewart.  Burial was made in Portland cemetery.

Mr. Green had been a lifelong resident of this vicinity.  During his recent 
illness he was cared for by his daughter, Mrs. Blanche Goodenough, of Berlin 
township.  He was a former highway commissioner of Orange.  Surviving are his 
daughter and one son, Floyd Green of Orange township; also three brothers, 
Archie, of Portland, William, of Lakeview, and Martin, of California.
