Funeral services were held from the Baptist church Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Stewart. Burial was made in Portland cemetery. Mr. Green entered the cafe about five o’clock and while seated at the table waiting for his order for supper to be filled suddenly stiffened out in his chair and before aid could reach him had expired. The cause of his death was given as apoplexy. Mr. Green was born in Portland and had spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Lemuel Green and Mrs. Estella Bradley, of Portland; Fred Green of Littleton, New Hampshire, and Miss Elsie Green, of Ionia. He was a member of the Portland Baptist church and for some time had been one of it deacons.
