The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, November 16, 1929

Mrs. Alice M. Green, wife of Edgar J. Green, died at her home, 539 West Main 
street, Saturday morning at 5:30 after a long sickness.  Funeral services will 
be held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Mrs. Green, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Baxter, pioneers of this 
vicinity, and was born here 59 years ago.  She has always lived in this 
vicinity and has always exemplified the sweetest Christian character.

Surviving her are the husband and the following children: Arba H. Green, H. 
Talmage Green, Archie Basil Green, Edgar Kenneth Green, of Ionia and 13 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also the following brothers and 
sisters: Frank Baxter, Monrovia, Cal.; Mrs. Earl Markham, Archie Baxter, and 
Ernest Bigelow, Grand Rapids; Mrs. James Ladd, Detroit, and Mrs. Nathan Ladd, 
Sunfield.
