The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Olive L. Green, of Ionia and formerly of Saranac, age 91, passed away on 
Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 at her home.  She was born the daughter of Alva and Rose 
(Sebastion) Bauman on June 8, 1916 in Albion.  Olive and her husband owned 
Olive’s Store in Saranac, as well as Farmers Gas and Oil in Ionia.  She was a 
member of the Shiloh Community Church and the Ionia Rebecca Lodge.

She married Moris Green in 1937, who preceded her in death in 1990.  Also 
preceding her in death are her sister, Lillie; brother, Milford Bauman and son-
in-law, Dale Shattuck.  Surviving are daughters, Bonny Shattuck of Belding and 
Carol (Don) Benjamin of Saranac; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 
several great-great-grandchildren and sister, Capitola Washburn of Battle 
Creek.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia; with Pastor Ken Harger 
officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service on 
Friday.
