Portland – Paul E. Green, 61, of 1837 E. Grand River Avenue, Portland, died
October 11 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  He was born January 31, 1927 in
Orange Township, the son of Floid and Mary (Jeffery) Green.  He was a retired
farmer and self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Thomas and Michael of Portland;
four daughters, Diane Martin, Deborah Sawyer, and Patricia Piercefield of
Portland and Sharon Postle of Greenville; 15 grandchildren, three
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo of Tucson, Arizona, and Earl Deming of
New Mexico; three sisters, Grace Ritter and Betty Johnson of Lake Odessa, and
Ethel Lehman of Portland.  One brother, Robert, and one sister, Mary Alice,
preceded him in death.

The family will be at the Neller Funeral Home Oct. 12, from 7-9 p.m., and
October 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral services will be October 14, 1 p.m.,
at Neller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Willis Braun officiating.  Burial will be
in Balcom Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Scott Lehman, Hubert Tracer, Harry Walter,
Lee Ritter, Andy Livingston, and Ronald Green.
