Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 14 Sep 1962

Mrs. Effie M. Green, 81, of route one, Lyons, widow of Elmer A. Green, died late
Wednesday at Buck convalescent home in Portland.  Mrs. Green resided in Lyons 48
years and had been a member of LeValley Methodist church 60 years.

She is survived by a son, Richard A. Green of Lyons; a daughter, Mrs. Florence
M. Compo of Ionia; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister
Mrs. Ruby Adams of Portland.

Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland with
the Rev. Robert Treat officiating.  Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery in
Ionia.  Bearers will be Guy Fisher, Victor Keefer, Louis Jones, Vene Almy,
Francis Peckens and Kenneth Grinnell.
