Green, aged 82 years, and wife of Floyd L. Green, at the family home at 415 Beulah street, shortly before noon Wednesday. Mrs. Green had been in poor health for a long time and at about 11:30 was seized with apoplexy and died in her chair before a physician, who was called, could reach her. Mrs. Green was born at Ft. Wayne, Ind., July 15, 1862, and came to this state when she was eight years of age. Her first husband was a Mr. Phillips and to this union were born three sons, Charles of Howard City, Jesse of Petoskey and Frank of Grand Rapids; also a daughter, Mrs. Cora Evey, of Sumner, all surviving, together with 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Eight of the grand and great grandchildren are serving in the armed forces. Thirty-five years ago she was united in marriage to Floyd L. Green and they have resided in this city ever since. Mr. Green, who has given his wife every attention during her illness, also survives. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Fales funeral home with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating, and burial will be in the cemetery at Sand Lake.
