The Ionia County Shopper’s Guide, Saturday, June 7, 2014


Heaven received another precious angel on May 23, 2014.  Ron Green was a 
wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He will be 
loved and missed dearly.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda 
(Lowery) Green of 47 years; children Karen Green, Kevin and Amanda (Newton) 
Green, and Kris and Lindsey (Huffman) Green; seven grandchildren; and his 
siblings Terry, Gary, Steve, Dan, and Cathy.

Ron served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army.  He graduated 
from Portland High School in 1965, also attending Lansing Community College for 
three years.  Ron retired from GM after 31 years, and then opened Green’s 
Repair Service.  He enjoyed geocaching, antique tractor shows, fishing, Jeeping 
through the desert, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 
6990 Kelsey Highway, Ionia, MI 48846.
