Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tuesday, July 27, 1982

IONIA- Bernice G. Green, 86, of 116 S. Dexter St., Ionia, died Monday at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on September 21, 1895, in Cadillac, the daughter of Edward and 
Rose Ann Dunham Gaymer.

She attended Cadillac schools and married Homer T. Green on June 5, 1912 in 
Ionia.

She has made her home in Ionia since then.

Homer preceded her in death in 1947.

She was a member and active in the Salvation Army, a  member of the Zion United 
Methodist Church, former member of the W.C.T.U., the Bethany Sunday school and 
the Dorcus Society.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Marion Rountree of Ionia, Mrs. Georgia Lee 
Higley of Ionia; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Zion United 
Methodist church, the Rev. Eldon Schram officiating. 

Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.

The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Leddick 
Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established for the Zion United Methodist church.
