Sentinel-Standard - Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1980

IONIA- Mary R. Green, 101, of 436 Brush, Portland, died Sunday at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 23, 1873 in Portland, the daughter of James Robinson and 
Almeda Miller.

She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store in Olivet for many years.

She was the oldest surviving Portland High School graduate. She graduated in 
1899.

Survivors include a nephew, James Spencer.

Services will be Wednesday at d1 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home with the Rev. 
Dow Chamberlain officiating.

A graveside service will take place in Olivet Wednesday home from 2 to 4 p.m. 
and 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Carson City Hospital Intensive Care 
Unit.
