Ionia County News-Thurs. May 20, 1926

The funeral of Mrs. Cornelia Green, 82, who died at the home of her son, Lemuel
Green, at Portland, was held last Friday afternoon from the residence with Rev. J.H.Stewart,
pastor of the Portland Baptist church, in charge. Interment was made in Portland cemetery. 

Mrs.Green was formerly Miss Cornelia Fitch. She was born at Lyons August 13. 1844.

July 26, 1864, she was united in marriage to Lorenzo Green, who passed away October
4, 1915. For the past 25 years she had made her home with her son, Clarence, in
Portland, until about a month ago she went to live with the son at whose home she died.
Besides Lemuel and Clarence, she is survived by another son, Frederick  Green of Littletown,
N.H., and two daughters, Mrs.Stella Bradley of Portland, and Miss Elsie Green, now of
Ionia.
