Nov. 13, 1969 Harry J. Green Dies in Illinois Word has been received here of the death of Harry J. Green, 88, former Lake Odessa resident and rural mail carrier for a number of years. He passed away Oct. 7 at Woodstock, Ill., where he had resided about a year. His first wife was Ethel Lepard, who passed away in 1921, and he later married Dr. Alta Sager and they served as missionaries in China and then returned to WIlliamsville, N.Y. Mr. Green was a rural mail carrier there after his retirement in 1951, then served as a crossing guard at Academy School for 13 years. He was member of county, state and national Rural Letter Carriers' Association and past president of the Rotary Club. Surviving are his wife; a son, Dr. Merlin J. Green of Monneterre, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Ladema) Burrows of New York City, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Williamsville, with burial in the Acacia Park Cemetery.
