ANDREW): THE IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, Thursday, March 2, 1933; front page: "Mortuary - Mrs. Anna Green, 89, widow of Andrew Green, a Civil war veteran, died early Thursday morning in the Soldiers' home hospital, Grand Rapids, having been living at the home for five years. Her husband died six years ago. The body is at Bradley's funeral home, where funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Dr. Paul L. Stewart. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Her request that the hymn "He Knows It All" be sung at the service will be granted. She was a native of Bradford, Canada, but had lived for a great many years on West Washington street, Ionia. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the women's relief corp here. Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mae Pettit, Detroit; a granddaughter, Mrs. Marguerite McGhen, Detroit, and five grandchildren." Per THE DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, IONIA, MICH., MARCH 3, 1933: "Mortuary - Mrs. Anna Green - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Green, who died Thursday in the Grand Rapids Soldiers' home hospital, will be held at the Bradley funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery." Per IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, March 6, 1933, page 3: "Mrs. Anna Green - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Green were conducted by Dr. Paul L. Stewart at the Bradley funeral home Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Green died Thursday in the Soldiers' home hospital, Grand Rapids. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery. Bearers were Oliver Prosser, Hal Tanner, Fred Prall, and Benjamin Benhagel. Music was by Chandler Haight, Mrs. William Ashdown Jennings playing the accompaniment. Members of the women's relief corps and the Church of Christ Sunday school of which she was a former member, attended the services in a body."
