GREEN, CARRIE A. (SMITH) (MRS. ORIN A.):
   GRAND RAPIDS PRESS, MI, 5-26-1947:  "Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie A.
Green, 86, widow of Orin Greene, and resident of Keene township, Ionia County,
71 years, will be held at 2:00 Tuesday at Saranac Free Methodist Church.
   For the last 15 years, she lived in Grand Rapids where she died Saturday night.
   Surviving are six children:  Mrs. Myrtle Potter of Saranac, Mrs. Hazel Austin
of Mt. Vernon, Va., Mrs. Wreatha Johnson of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Iva Helmer, Mrs.
Fern Phelps, Forrest Greene all of Grand Rapids, 14 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren.
   Burial will be at Saranac Cemetery."

   IONIA SENTINEL STANDARD, MI, 5-27-1947, page 3:  "Mrs. Carrie A. Greene, 86,
formerly of Keene, died in Grand Rapids Saturday evening where she resided the
last 15 years.
   She was born in Keene township October 2, 1860, resided in Keene until
shortly after her husband's death when she moved to Grand Rapids to reside with
her daughter, Mrs. Iva Helmer."

   SARANAC ADVERTISER, MI, 5-28-1947, front page:  "Mrs. Carrie A. Greene passes
in Grand Rapids.  She was born October 2, 1869 in Keene township.  Surviving are
daughters Mrs. Iva Helmer of Grand Rapids with whom she resided, Mrs. Hazel ___,
of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Mrs. Wreatha Johnson, Mrs. Laurel Rose of Saranac,
son Forest Greene of Grand Rapids, a sister Mrs. Robinson of Lake Odessa. 
Pallbearers were grandsons Keith Potter, Thomas Darling, Robert Reaham, Erving
Taylor, Wayne Rose and Forrest Rose."
