Green, 67, of Lyons township, was found dead late Tuesday when his wife discovered his body near their farm garage where Green had gone to do some chores. Death was declared due to a heart attack. Mr. Green had been afflicted with a heart ailment and had received hospital treatment. He is survived by his wife, two children, Mrs. Florence Campau of Orange, and Richard of Portland, and five grandchildren. He was born in Mecosta county December 7, 1878, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Green. He came to Ionia at the age of 19 years and began farming. In 1905 he was united in marriage with Effie M. Sage. For 31 years he has resided on the same farm. Funeral services will be held from the Bandfield home Friday, October 5, at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Howard Fuller officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
