The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, March 13, 1974
Richard A. Green, 63, of route 1, Lyons, died Tuesday at St. Lawrence hospital 
in Lansing following an extended illness.  Born July 4, 1910, in Orleans he 
was the son of Elmer and Effie May Sage Green.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia; two sons, Larry Green of Portland and Ray 
Green of Mulliken; two daughters, Mrs. Connie Pierce of Lyons; and Mrs. Lorna 
Gloden of Portland; eight grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Florence Compo of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home at 
Portland.  Rev. George C. Otto of Nazarene church of Portland will officiate 
and interment will be at Danby cemetery.  Bearers will be Richard Dudeck, Vene 
Almy, Jack Spotts, Thomas Almy, Marshall Hulse and Dale Hyland.
