Green, 68, of 181 Adams street, died Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. in the Ionia County memorial hospital. He had been a patient since September 26. Mr. Green was born December 18, 1889 in Day county, Langford, South Dakota. He was married to Miss Rose Carr in July 1925, at Ionia, and lived most of his life in Ionia. Mrs. Green died in 1937. He entered service of the United States Army, May 25, 1918, receiving his training at Camp Dix, N.J. with Co. F in the 8th battallion and served one and one-half years in France. He is survived by two sons, Martin Green and Leroy Carr of Flint; two daughters, Mrs. Velton Kinborough of Elmont, Calif., and Mrs. Russell Neilson (Ida) of 237 Adams street; eight grandchildren; one half-brother, Ralph Long of Ionia, and one half-sister, Mrs. Mary Tucker of Flint. Funeral service will be at the Myers funeral home, Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Lewis Horn will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Tuttle cemetery.
