The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 29, 1986

Ferne Marie Greene, 82, of Saranac died Friday evening at Butterworth 
Hospital, Grand Rapids.  She was born in Boston Township May 15, 1904, the 
daughter of Isaac and Lottie Whitby Brower, and lived all her life in the 
Saranac area.

She was employed by Universal Products, Saranac, for 25 years, and was a life 
member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Bovee of Lowell and Cheryl Thomas of 
Grand Rapids, a son, Orin, of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren and one great 
grandchild.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, 
with the Rev. Byron Davey officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery.
