Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Mar 1964

Mrs. Lucille R. Greene, 53, of 707 Roselawn drive, died Friday at 2 a.m. in
Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, where she had been a patient since January 27.  She
had been ill the past two years.  A resident of the area her entire life, Mrs.
Greene was born August 15, 1910 in Orange Township the daughter of Earl and Inez
Greenfield Lapo.

Mrs. Greene was a member of First Methodist Church and was active in Queen
Esther chapter Order of Eastern Star, and Ionia Red Cross Gray Ladies
organization.  October 26, 1930 she was married to Alan C. Greene of Portland.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Douglas of Flint; two grandchildren; her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lapo and a brother, Gaylord, all of Portland.

Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Boynton funeral home with interment
at Portland Cemetery.  The Rev. Harold A. Jayne will officiate.  A Memorial to
First Methodist Church in memory of Mrs. Greene has been established.
