Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Aug 1968

A retired Ionia township farmer, Charles E. Greenhoe, 81, died Tuesday morning
at Ionia County Memorial hospital.  He lived at route 1, Ionia.  Born March 2,
1887 in Bushnell township, Montcalm county, he was a farmer of that area until
1942 when he moved to Ionia township and retired in 1959.  He was married to Eva
Soule in 1910 and she survives.

He also leaves two sons, LaVern and Roy of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs. Velma
Cyphers of Honor; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; three brothers,
Sherman of Sheridan, Elmer and Clayton of Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Emma
Karcher of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan.
 Rev. Chester Erickson of Ionia Zion United Methodist church will officiate and
burial will be at Sheridan cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home
Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.  Bearers will be Ryan and Steven
Greenhoe, Phillip Cyphers, William Dodge, Gary Prater and Forrest Shattuck, Jr.
