Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

                           Bernard "Bernie" Lee Greenhoe 

Died October 20 2010-age 86 of Portland & Lakeland, Florida
Born January 29, 1924 in Sheridan,MI.son of Otto & Mabel (Phelps) Greenhoe.
He was the head of security at Joker Marchant Stadium "Detroit Tigers" 
inLakeland, Florida for the past 24 years.
He served in General Patton's Third Army at the Battle of the Bulge during WWII.
He was a lifetime member of Sheridan VFW Post #5065.
Bernie always was an organizer & leader, he starred Little League Baseball 
Program & purchased the local newspaper in Sheridan after the war.
He enjoyed golf, bowling, traveling, & watching his grandchildren in their 
sporting activities.
Preceded in death by his parents; wives, Marilyn Greenhoe & Martha greehnoe.
Surviving are his children; Greg (Kathy) Greenhoe of Portland, Kurt (Sue) 
Greenhoe of Quincy, Tamra (Joe) Summers of Portland, Debra (Scott) Morgan of 
Dimondale; step-daughters, pricilla (Greg) Anderson of The Villages, FL., and 
Julie Gee of Holt; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister June Fancett 
of Sheridan and many nieces & nephews.
Graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Dr.Marilyn V.Danielson at 11 :00 
a.m., Monday October 25, 2010 at Portland Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-6 p. at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes
210 E.Bridge St., Portland.
