Greenwalt, 75, of Hubbardston, Spanish American war veteran, who died at Hubbardston Saturday, September 15, were conducted at the James Burns residence in Hubbardston Monday, September 17, at 2:00 p.m. Services were conducted by the Rev. Lewis Herrick and by the Hubbardston and Carson City posts of the American Legion. Bearers were legionnaires of the two posts conducting the services. They were Dick Fenn, Henry Bozung, Ray Donahue, Tom Donahue, George Pitcher and Harold Smith. Members of the firing squad were Leon Ward, Don Speckin, Robert Cusack, Virgil Tait, Paul Geller and Edgar Tabor. Color guards were Keith Cunningham and Elmer Rogers, and color bearers were Manuel Cusack and Lewis McKenna. Ed Bradbury was bugler. Attending the services from the Ionia post were Abe Snider, Carl W. Mason and Frank Minier. Interment was in Palo cemetery.
