Greenwalt, 87, will be held from the Methodist church in Palo Saturday afternoon, March 26, at 2 o’clock conducted by the Rev. John W. Broxholm, pastor of the church. Interment will be in the family lot in Palo cemetery. The body will remain in state at the church from 1 o’clock until 2 o’clock. Mrs. Greenwalt died at her Palo residence Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock following an illness of several years. She was born in Climax, Kalamazoo County, December 9, 1851 and was married to Martin Greenwalt September 9, 1871, who died May 22, 1928. She came to Palo soon after her marriage where Mr. Greenwalt was engaged in stone making. In 1879 they built the house that is now occupied by Pearl Hall. She as a member of the Palo Methodist church, the Ladies Aid Society, the Palo Rebekahs and the Palo WRC. Survivors are two sons, Ernest Sidney Greenwalt of Sharpsburg, Maryland and Clare Joseph Greenwalt of Hubbardston and one grandchild. Two sons, William D. and Deforest W. preceded her in death.
