He was born Nov. 24, 1962, in Belding, the son of Carol Murphy Greenway Beech and John H. Greenway. He graduated from Belding High School in 1981. He was employed with Thielen Turf and Irrigation for 20 years before he retired in 2012, when he became disabled. He was a big Detroit Red Wings fan and all-around fan of sports. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards with friends. Everyone who met him instantly liked him. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Whitney Greenway; his daughter and son-in-law, Donnie and Stacy Rush of Hawaii; grandchildren, Reagan Greenway and Conner Rush; his brother and sisters, Nancy Jones of Greenville, Becky (Jeff) Shotwell of Sheridan, Greg (Terri) Greenway of Grandville; Judy (Terry) Satterlee of Greenville; Sue Beech of Mount Pleasant; stepfather, Don Christiansen; Rodney and Stacy’s mother, Gloria Hirsch, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2008, father in 2000 and paternal and maternal grandparents. A celebration of life will be 6 p.m. Monday at the American Legion in Belding. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to assist with final arrangements may be considered.
