Gregg, 69, of Ionia, died Saturday at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. Born in Rosedale, Mich., Sept. 4, 1916, he was the son of Ernest and Nora Browice Gregg. He was a veteran of U.S. Army service during World War II. He was married to Myriam Ghastin on Jan. 21, 1956, in Sault Ste. Marie where they made their home before moving to Ionia in 1968, where he was a wire editor, reporter and photographer for the Ionia Sentinel-Standard for 10 years. He was also employed by the Ionia City Police Department as a dispatcher for three years. Surviving is his wife; two daughters, Glenna Gregg of Belding; Mrs. David (Annette) McCord of Ionia; two sons, George of Saranac and Phillip of Ionia; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. James (Minnie) Ferraro, and a brother, E. James Gregg, both of Sault Ste. Marie. There will be no funeral services and no visiting hours at Montgomery-Roetman Funeral Home, which made arrangements. The family will receive friends at the residence, 647 N.
