Marilyn Gregory of Stanton passed away March 31, in Sarasota, Fla. she was born 
June 25, 1942 in Lansing, the daughter of Sylvan and Betty Rhoades; her family 
moved to Saranac where she graduated from Saranac High School in 1960.

She married Ronald E. Metternick, who died in 1977. They raised three children 
in Saranac. She was united in marriage to Richard (Elmer) Gregory of Ionia in 
1987.

She is survived by her husband, Richard (Elmer0 Gregory; her children, Setve 
(Kay) Metternick of Saranac, Scott (Stacy) Metternick of Wenham; Mass, and 
Stacy (Mike) Milligan of Sarasota, Fla.; step-children,  Ryan (Amy) Gregory of 
Ionia, and Nick (Beata) Gregory of Fenton; eight grandchildren; sisters, Laura 
Burdette of Stanton and Linda (Dave) Baie of Trufant; and her brother, Vince 
(Renee) Rhoades of Saranac.

In addition to Ronald Metternick, Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; 
her brother, Sylvan; and her brother-in-law, Dave Burdette.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 17 
at Steele Street Hall in Ionia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can 
be made to the Gregory Family Scholarship Fund at Ionia High School.
