IONIA- William W. Gregory, former Ionia resident, died Wednesday in 
Carterville, Ga.

Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, with arrangements to 
be announced by Roetman Funeral home. 
  William W. Gregory 67, formerly of Ionia, died Wednesday in Carterville, Ga.
  He was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Saginaw, the son of Mark and Elizabeth Simpson 
Gregory.
  He married Mary Bell Clark, and she preceded him in death in 1956.
  He then married Audra Newman in 1959.
  He worked at Fisher Body in Grand Rapids for 23 years, retiring in 1972.
  He lived in Grand Rapids, Ionia and Okochobee, Fla.
  Surviving are his wife, Audra; one son, Raymond of Ionia; one daughter, Carol 
Stewart of Perry; four step-sons, Dennis, Duane and Kenneth Tingley of Grand 
Rapids and Gerald Tingley of Okochobee, Fla. and one step-daughter, Sharon 
Shindorf, of Carterville, Ga. 
  Also surviving are three brothers, Perry and Carl Gregory of Saginaw and 
Borden Gregory of San Diego, one sister, Hattie Schavetti of Ironwood, one 
step-sister, Mary Helen Herman of Jackson, two grandchildren and eight step 
grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Roetman Funeral Home, 
with the Rev. John Sorenson officiating.
  Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.
  The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 
p.m.
  Memorials have been established for the Ionia Hospice and the Emphysema 
Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
