She was born May 18, 1921 in Ionia Township, the daughter of M. Clyde and Jessie E.(Taft) Stout. She married F. Wayne Sprague March 9, 1940 and were married for 35 years. She married Charles L. Thomas November 25, 1978. He passed away April 16, 1980. She married Donald Gregory June 7, 1983 in Marion. Mary was a life time member of the Le Valley U.M. Church. She was church treasurer for many years. She enjoyed china painting. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 22 years Donald Gregory of Ionia; daughter Janet and Larry Listerman of Ionia; grandson Chad L. and Laura Listerman; granddaughters Jackie and Kurt Hartman, Jenny and Larry Scheurer; grandsons, Kevin and Jason Sprague; great-grandchildren Ryan and Lyndsee Hartman, Elizabeth, Colin and Cole Listerman, and Austin Scheurer; great-great grandson Dominik. Mary was a step-mom to Charles' five sons and their wives and step grandma to many wonderful grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also step mom to Don's five sons and three daughters and their spouses and step grandma to many grandchildren and step great grandma to several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Wayne Stout Sprague, her parents, M. Clyde Stout and Jessie Stout Fletcher, Step father Issi Fletcher, 2 brothers and their wives, and her husband Charles L. Thomas. Also surviving are special friends Tom and Alma Sprague and her church family. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at LeValley United Methodist Church in Ionia with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Internment Balcom Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to LeValley Methodist Church.
