The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, May 28, 1996

Gayle B. Grein, 82, of Lowell and formerly of Saranac and Ionia died May 23, 
1996 at Cumberland Retirement Village.

She was born Oct. 23, 1913 in Reed City, the daughter of Don S. and Stella 
(Sturdavant) Hough.  She married Roland Grein Aug. 29, 1936 in Reed City and 
he preceded her in death July 25, 1975.  She was a member of St. Johns 
Lutheran Church in Ionia.

She is survived by her daughters Gretchen (William) Nyland, of Orleans and 
Susan Smith, of Port Huron and sister, Donna Sadler, of Reed City.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. June 1, 1996 
at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Ionia with Rev. William Wagner officiating.  
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johns Lutheran Church. All 
arrangements have been made by the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
