They purchased their own dairy farm in Ionia County in 1949. Here they raised seven children and retired on Jackson Road in Saranac in 1972. Eileen and Percy were founding members of St. Anthony's Church in Saranac. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren, who they had become, what they had accomplished, and their plans for the future. She enjoyed cooking and baking, writing letters, traveling, and spent much of her life caring for the church and others. Last year included trips to Pentwater, Ky., and California. She was also proud of her Irish heritage, traveling to Ireland and hosting Irish relatives in her home. Her stories, laughter and love will all be sadly missed and always remembered. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Greiner, in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Marcella Allen; as well as her sisters, Muriel Larson and Sybil Allen.
