Greiner, 74, of 3968 Jackson Road, Saranac, died Wednesday at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. Born in Hart, Aug. 15, 1913, he was the son of Vincent and Jessie Brimmer Greiner. He moved to Saranac in 1948 and operated a dairy farm on Potter's Road until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Saranac, and of the Knights of Columbus. He was married to Eileen Allen, Dec. 1, 1945, in Weare, Mich. she survives. Also surviving are seven children, Mary Elizabeth Greiner, North Carolina; Joseph Allen Greiner of Berrien Center; Kathleen L. Greiner of Grand Rapids; Jerome T. Greiner of Kentucky, Patricia Bailey of Ionia; Nancy Cahoon of Southfield and James A. Greiner of Grand Rapids; and six grandchildren. Two sisters also survive, Marie Hansen and Olive Greiner, both of Eaton Rapids. Funeral mass will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, with the Rev. Eugene Alvesteffer officiating. Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery. The family will be at Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Rosary will be said Friday evening at 8 p.m. A memorial for St. Anthony's Church has been established, in care of the funeral home.
